Welcome to Plane Dames!
This month, March 2010, marks the 3 year anniversary of the "conception and creation" of Plane Dames. Originally planned as a club for ladies who like airplanes it transformed into a retail business within the first year as we discovered we really liked the logo on our club shirts and so did other ladies! As we traveled to different fly ins, Airshows and even aviation museums we were not finding styles we liked in ladies apparel. The majority of what we found were men's boxy tee shirts with a ladies' theme printed on them. Guess what? No matter what your size, small or large--when you "wear a box"--you look like a box! In addition to the lack of style(s) the quality was often less than mediocre. The Plane Dames commitment and mission is the highest quality, flattering, unique, fashionable apparel for ladies and girls of all ages who love airplanes and want to show their "Attitude of Altitude!" Pictured is Plane Dame 1, Gwyn, the creator and owner. She is wearing the Plane Dames tribute to the beautiful airliner of the 50s and 60s, the Lockheed Constellation, our "Queen of the Airways" print shirt. Really flattering and comfy--perfect for any woman who knows she is a "queen" too!
